Fall into Balance

Fall is associated with the metal element, connected with the lung and larg intestine organ system. The lungs control our immune defense (Wei Qi). The large Intestine is in charge of elimination and detox.
The season’s dryness can affect the skin, throat, and lungs. Emotionally, fall relates to grief and sadness, but also clarity and inspiration when balanced.
This season governs organization, setting limits, and protecting boundaries. In autumn, we move from the external to the internal, contracting energy of the cold. It’s a good idea to finish up any projects you started in summer or spring.
